How to Use Brick Mosaic Image Generator?

• 1. Choose a source image

Choose an image file from your hard drive; the image will be processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded! After opening the image, you will see a preview below the file input. You can choose to fit the image into the final mosaic size or to crop it while preserving the aspect ratio.

• 2. Select the size of the mosaic

You can use the inputs to specify the size of the mosaic. A standard LEGO® art mosaic is 48 x 48 studs. Using pieces from two sets, you can build a 64 x 64 mosaic. You may also choose any custom mosaic size. The number of parts required to build the mosaic is displayed below.

• 3. Choose the LEGO art set(s) you have

Use the input elements to adjust how many of each available LEGO art set you would like to use for the mosaic. The tool internally stores information on how many parts (and which colors) are included in each set. The number of available parts is displayed based on your input.

• 4. Run calculation

Use the "Calculate" button to start the mosaic calculation. The number of available parts should be greater than the number of required parts. The calculation takes a few seconds to complete; the progress of the computation is indicated.

• 5. Download instructions and brick art mosaics image

This tool can generate a PDF with building instructions for you. Once the mosaic calculation is complete, you can access your PDF using the "Download Instructions" button. You can also download the generated brick art mosaic image as desired.
